November News and Updates

November 1, 2016  |  News

ShieldWelcome to the November edition of the Hood College Counselor Connection! Over the past few weeks, we’ve been busy reading applications, preparing for events, and meeting with prospective students to help our class of 2021 find their perfect fit here at Hood.

We recently hosted a STEM fair, which gave prospective students the opportunity to speak with professors and students from our biology, chemistry and physics, mathematics, nursing and computer science departments. During the event, each department showcased demonstrations, simulations and experiments for prospective students and their families to participate in and observe.

On Nov. 12, we will be welcoming high school students of all ages to campus for our second Fall Open House. This event will allow prospective students and their families to learn more about Hood College admission and the financial aid process, student life and athletics, and a great opportunity to explore our 33 majors and meet our professors. They will also get a free lunch in the dining hall!

In addition to our scheduled events, we welcome school, church and other groups to campus throughout the week for presentation sessions and campus tours. To schedule a visit, please register online at www.hood.edu/visit, email at admission@hood.edu or call 800-922-1599.
